The House With A Clock In Its Walls Premiere | Hollywood, CA
The streets of Hollywood Boulevard shut down over the weekend to make way for the stars of The House with a Clock in Its Walls from Universal Pictures. The purple carpet was lined with a giant clock and images of the cast. Upon entering the TCL Theatre guests were greeted with grinning and maniacal pumpkins in a patch and vines growing to the top of the building. Hollywood Boulevard was transformed into a magical setting that set the tone for what promised to be a magical afternoon.
As stars started trickling in, my first interview was with Nathan Barr, the film's composer. He talked about the beautifully immersive experience fan can anticipate seeing and hearing the film in IMAX Theaters. Next up, two of the youngest celebs on the carpet came up to tell us who they would want to be trapped in a haunted house with. Vanessa Anne Williams and Sunny Suljic gave two of the most adorable answers, Vanessa said she would want to be trapped with Sunny so they could be together and he would protect her. The some of our favorite household names began gracing the purple turf. As Kyle Maclachlan walked up to the IMAX mic I could hardly contain myself with anticipation. The man from Twin Peaks, Sex and the City, and the cult classic - Showgirls - I couldn't believe I was about to interview one of Hollywood's most beloved stars.
As we spoke with a variety of stars and respected directors and producers, we finally started to see the man of the hour, Jack Black, make his way to us with Cate Blanchette not far behind. The charismatic comedian spoke Japanese and artfully articulated the film's plot for the press. Cate unfortunately rushed by due to the Hollywood heat of almost 100 degrees.
The House with a Clock in Its Walls was a star-studded premiere with more twists, turns, and terrific moments than one can imagine. Check out my Instagram for more behind-the-scenes photos, videos, and purple carpet interviews.
